Boring, Tiring Things

Wow, housechores sure are a tedious thing. They involve little innovation, and plenty of limb activity.

I had plans to start things early. Took to bed around 0030 on the right note; setting the alarm - both on the iPod as well as my digital clock - for early morning. The iPod was the first to wake me up. Waking up to Korn's 'Twisted Transistor' sure feels good - involuntary head jamming the first thing in the morning! This is as religious as I can get. But I had plans to be lazy, and dozed away, only to be woken up by the digital clock an hour later - and doze off again. I finally woke up at 0815. My immediate plans were to prepare breakfast and get my new old bike repaired. But the chores took their toll...

While preparing breakfast, I met a little green friend, about which I have blogged in the post previous to this. I forgot the breakfast for a while and got busy with it. After that was over (and safely returned to where it belongs), I had my breakfast, and played Memento alongside. Its a movie that deserves (and would get) a more serious viewing. And midway, my short attention span kicked in and I decided to clean my room as well as the kitchen. That was followed by cleaning up the utensils and rearranging the kitchen, which was followed by washing my week's stash of clothes, and taking a bath (while I was at it). By the time I was done with that, it was already lunch, and I took to the kitchen again. Lentils and rice. Pretty good for my virgin attempt. Finally got free by 1615. Whew!

Below: My plans for the future - invite a friend over for the lure of coffee and chocolate muffins (even free beer, if they are into it). Then slowly drag them into the kitchen and get them cook you food, and later clean up the utensils as well! Turn the tables around. hehe. evil. [Images below document my second victim]

The Little Vegetable Resident

This morning, I had a little visitor pop out from the green capsicum/(bell pepper) pod that I had freshly cut open to add to my omlette. It took me time to notice it circling around the periphery of the pod. Lucky - for the both of us - for my knife could've slashed through its body, giving it a horrifying death and my breakfast ending up tasting a bit different without me ever finding out why.

After finding that its hideout/food enclosure had been cracked down, it tried looking for a new shelter. Alas, there was only a see of green marble all around. I took it alongwith the capsicum to my balcony, where the sunlight allowed for a closer look and some photographs. When my fascination was over, I carried it downstairs on my forefinger, and safely left it in the shelter of plants in the garden outside. Find more images below.
PS: Can ye help me identify it?
