The dark things, unsettle my day. Why not mention em here and have them away?
- Mr. Happy Singh .. who committed suicide onboard a submarine. Found in an isolated room, hung from the ceiling. Just like Ram Singh (the infamous Nirbhaya case rapist+murderer), he failed to live upto his name. Wonder if the parents do the naming to pressure their kids into behaving that way. Here is Mr. Happy, who is received with levity, soon as people hear his name, without realizing what emotions lie masked inside the person. Kinda sucks to be named Happy/Jolly/Fantastic/Goodluck and be nowhere close to that vibe.
- Mr. PS Mehra .. Another sailor who made news for killing his wife and two children, then hanging himself. Way to go (literally), you'll be remembered forever, especially by the distant folks (those who didn't know him can now imagine a new story and trauma). "All men will be sailors, until the sea shall free them. " - as Leonard Cohen sang.
- Mr. Rinku .. who stopped on a bridge and consigned his (living) daughter into the river below. His wife, Laxmi, recollected that they stopped their scooter to take selfies with the 1-year-old kid. And he clicked one too, before chucking the kid like a disposable spoon. Some passer-bys came and beat him up; easy thing to do instead of leaping down the bridge to save a baby's life. The baby remains to be retrieved. Forget the kid now, she's dead.. that selfie needs to be retrieved first, and turned into a symbol against whatever this malfunctioning human had in him.
While the dead don't resurrect, here's this long-dead blog, coming back to life. Yay!
