Was sorting music for my upcoming smartwatch, and sampling some forgotten tracks. Things were going well, until I came across a Third Ear Band performance (Live from Hyde Park), and since then , as if time stopped, I've been back in that old high, and abandoned my concerns. No, no smoking-up needed - listening to TEB in itself is a high. And to my surprise they still ain't so popular.
"Back in my days" ie 10-15 years back, TEB was being discovered by many, and even their new tracks showing up from lost recordings. Today, the situation has evolved a bit, and now all their albums have been recovered, and remastered (available on Bandcamp and many other places online), even uploaded complete on Youtube.
However, there is still no chronicling of the legends that these fellas were (afaik, they were an influence on other musicians and bands). Not a single documentary on Youtube (even when you explicitly search it out), just a few recordings of their sessions. No covers, either. This subculture is still gonna drop more with time, I believe, because the music that TEB created is unmatchable in its aurality. Just put on Ghetto Raga, it'll be hard to exit midway the 13-minute masterpiece.
