A Mad Boy's Love

If you think i'm not thinking about you
Then think again
Of a night under the full moon
Of a warn embrace
Of a dominating silence
Of a tender caress
Your mad boy's mad love
That you never imagined could feel so amazing
ca. 2013
under the duress of love

What it Feels in Love

You are my convergence function
My differential is deferential to you
You reduce me to infinity
You are my Fourier transform inverse
My n-tuple wants to forever be next to your n-tuple
You are my integration operator

ca. 2013/14
must've been in love, madly so, which is expressed here

Can't Wait for Tomorrow

Ends come slow
Methods that lend a blow
Pieces I find on the floor
Of what was a dense mass
in the head
Plans that blur the line
Projecting an image divine
The fruit of carefree dreaming
The deep inquiries into meaning
Tonight I write an elegy
Instead of writing idylls
And the mind will have a free reign, again,
With the breaking dawn

ca. 2013/14
was probably stoned during this scribble

Another draw - my first nude

Continuing on the trail of sketching, here's another I copied through the day. A nude!
I believe his roots could be some gay comics, but was in my recent instagram feed, which I remembered for inspiration. He was posed well, with a lot of subtle variations in light that had me understanding the pencils better. I couldn't get the face right and urge he ended up looking more like me (just the face, not the physique).
Inspired by such a defined body, I did log lifts in the breaks taken during doing the sketch.
Long road ahead, don't you think?

Love begets a love begets a love

Last night, I started with what had been on my mind since a long while - to utilize my sketch pad, that lad been lying discarded since transfer to a new owner i.e. me, back in November of the prev year. I had only done some squiggles and doodles on a sheet for practise, in all this while.

What better to choose than a Tinder muse, who reminded me of divinity through a mere few photos and a succinct bio. Since we had a match, which means she reciprocated the way I expected/prayed, it makes her even more apt choice for a subject. Strong feelings already in place, I guess, which could be an outlier, since I identify myself in Jim Carey's character in The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, who muses in frustration "why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows me the least bit of attention?".

The sketch turned out okay. It's my best ever, and at least better than Napoleon Dynamite's conception of Trisha - I didn't even sit for 3 hours to finish shading on the upper lip. Early hours of a long sleepless night of a long sleepless day well spent.

Indira's Pearls Contents/Context

Dear,
Hope this gets Between the cracks
since we're already Crossing boundaries
not realizing that Accidents will happen.
Lay your eyes upon The glowing gasket with which,
you shall be blessed with Indra's necklace
which you, until now, thought was A delightful fiction.
Using  The language of symmetry,
making you feel the creation of The Schottky dance,
making you imagine Double spirals and Möbius maps.
So, now, get Playing with parameters
and let my mind blow, in Fractal dust and infinite words.

Majzoobiyat - N.F. vs T.I.S.B.

This week of enrichment brings out a mashup from within me. I'd imagined that The Incredible String Band's Air  was the best that could come. And then came along this North Face movie, Into the Mind, that seemed to go so well with, and even be of the same length as, the track. Both of them, together, give a euphoric 3 minutes.

North Face vs The Incredible String Band [mashup] from uhbiv on Vimeo.

From the stable of 'we never do anything original' comes this unoriginal mashup between North Face and The Incredible String Band. these two go well together. Neither the footage nor the music is mine. Edited a bit to synch with the track.

Youtube has historically sucked for mashup videos. Theirs detects all copyrighted work, and blocks it. I always hope against, in that the next new upload will go undetected... but apparently not.

They should just block the whole thing instead of giving a message of partial access. The only countries without the copyright issue, are those which excludes 99.9 % of YouTube demographics.

Well, Vimeo to the rescue. Almost a scripted routine - get to YouTube, start uploading, remembering Vimeo halfway through, carrying on with YouTube in false hope, having the video upload on YouTube, learning the video got blocked on YouTube, upload to Vimeo as an alternative. No wonder, all my mashup videos live over there.

One Mace to Rule Them All

This is what I call a good defense tool. It is a modified mace, the way I felt it should've evolved.
Deep grooves at the apex, a spiked neck, padded handle, brushed aluminium body.
Keep it in the boot of your car, and strike deep fear before you strike deep chaos, when the need comes.
Ideal for intrepids.
The color scheme I've worked out makes it resemble a penis, which I've gotta amend.

Fighting boredom (with acrylic paint)

My happiest tees are the ones that sell in bulk at Shopper's Stop, since they give a blank canvas, to allow expression. After a long hiatus, I did these. The process was primitive and unsophisticated, but who cares. Cutting out the stencils was the hardest part. The designs aren't mine, but drawing them myself saved me $$, which is fitting for my third-world identity.

Both look fab, and inappropriate for plenty of occasions. Perfect!

As You Stand There

Gonna get this on a tee.
Yes, I'm the one.

run dos run

Average day out with friends. Krushers at KFC was the highlight of my social. CP never fails to suck even more than the previous time, and the plight is that there's no comparable hub in Delhi. I do less, talk more, and miss a lot of things a lot more - if the days spent in some absence or void are some litmus test to make that same thing more deserving, then I deserve an ocean of it (or an avalanche of it, but "avalanche" would be the wrong word to think of here).

On the cult/fad front, there's progress.
This is awesome. I don't listen to House, but take this for an exception. It was a love-at-first-sight thing, and only grew better. I think it's gonna grow more in the aural space.

This is ah-some too, albeit by a few watchings you start noticing finer details of average cinematography and shah rukh khan's frozen looks.

Neodymium Magnets fad

Life is a bit less boring with my latest acquisition - Neodymium magnets. These are rare-earth magnets, the strongest permanent magnets made. To the hobbyist, they are marketed as tiny 5mm spheres (much like ball bearings, only super magnetic), which could be used to make a whole lotta things, and improve your general smart.

Neodymiums entered my consciousness through American entrepreneurial efforts like NeoCube and Buckyballs (Buckyballs business went bust on Dec 27, 2012). Their cool was hard to escape; just the YouTube videos were addictive. After brief exploring around, and not having any friends returning from the USA, I turned my head to China, and found a whole lotta Neodymium deals on Alibaba. Finally, this is what I ordered myself, a 6x6x6 Neodymium lattice.  There is also an Indian website selling Buckyballs - and not too costly.

As one site says, "Your Buckyballs is a truly amazing thing. It has the power to simultaneously stimulate and "exercise" both hemispheres of your brain, making it more beneficial to you than most other types of puzzles." After playing around with these for about a month now, I'm not disappointed. These are like the best fun that could fit inside a pocket - portable, and stimulating. Of late, I've started expressing a range of emotion through these. Magnets have some very cool properties, which work like hacks for making complex structures. The North-South Pole hacks are just scratching the surface of possibilities with these. Technically, any imagined structure is possible. It also helps sticking a lotta unusual things to the fridge.

Will keep updated on exploits with Neodymiums. And some parallel achievements unlocked.

Fingertips. Shapes. Sprouts. Heart. Sun. Enter words...

Some days forever stay young
And some kisses linger on
Some words come so easy
When someone is long gone
The rush of our blood
Under the canopy of trees
And the sunrises and sunsets
That still flow through me
Bring the rush back again
Like it were just yesterday
That we lived the days
When days felt a gain
